Set up CCO in B1 foreign currency

Hello all,

We have a customer who wants to set all prices in USD, while still being able to post all transactions back to B1 with the correct information (payments are accepted in USD (foreign currency) and DOP (local currency)). I have set up an item price in USD:

As can be seen on the CCO console, the price is sent correctly to CCO:

0

Unfortunately, at this stage the price does appear as zero in CCO, not as 50 USD (or rather 59 w/tax). Also, those items with prices in local currency do show the prices, but are being now considered as USD, which is wrong (but I can control that in B1, so that shouldn't be too big a problem).

Is there any good documentation on that type of scenario? I seem to be missing some type of configuration here... I was looking through the PDFs but didn't find anything useful.

Thanks in advance,

Joerg.

So I decided to set up a completely new CCO installation and configured everything the same way and it seems to have worked. Some information must have been cached somewhere.

Some observations important for this scenario (I might post them to the influence session):

  1. Exchange rate for invoices is taken from B1, the one configured in CCO is not sent to B1.
  2. If the payment is made in local currency and exchange rates in B1 and CCO differ, there will be an open amount in the incoming payments that will need to be cleared out manually. (Maybe it is possible to configure over-payments in order to take care of some of these differences, but I haven't tried.)
  3. If the exchange rate in B1 is configured as direct (50/1) , you need to enter the exchange rate in the opposite way in CCO (1/50), which may lead to rounding differences. Keep the B1 exchange rate integration setting as "direct" though.

Hope that helps a few users in similar scenarios.

Regards,

Joerg.

I wonder if the standard scenarios delivered with CCO should be able to integrate a specific CCO currency with a B1 foreign currency? It currently does not seem to do so, because all the receipts (incoming payments) posted to B1 indicate a wrong exchange rate (1.00 instead of the foreign currency rate applied for the main currency, and also a wrong rate for other currencies).

Anyone tried this before?

Best regards,

Joerg.
