Hi Everyone
On creating a repair sales order through service notification I am not able to assign serial number to the repair item,I am getting message as below
There are no serial numbers for action 'Returns'
On clicking extras-->technical objects I am getting message
Serail number incomplete. No maintenance possible for advance shipment
Please help

I guess with you mean In-House Repair orders -
The in-house repair order is integrated with service processes and sales transactions. This means you can create in-house repair orders as follow-up transactions and thereby transfer the data from each preceding transaction.
You can enter serialnumbers for products and serviceparts within the context of complaints, returns, and in-house repair orders. The serial numbers specified can be validated and in the interest of logistics integration, replicated to SAP ECC. Use settype CRM_SERIALNUM, attribute SERIALNO_PROCESSING within products and refer to SAP Note 824780 for more details also with respect to data exchange between ECC and CRM. Also check the lesson Data Exchange of Technical Objects. The serialnumber information indicates whether a serialnumbers are relevant for a certain product, and how validation of a serial number entered in a document should occur. For items in complaints,returns,and in-house repairorders in the CRMWebClient UI, you can enter serial numbers manually. To do so, you can use the Serial Number field in assignment block Reference Objects. As you enter the product, depending on the value in field Serial No. Processing ID,the system checks whether serialnumbers can be entered or must be entered.
