Hello Experts,
In Marketing cloud->segmentation we have 2 date fields: marketing creation timestamp and timestamp, where
Marketing creation timestamp = date that contact got created in Marketing (can only be the 1st date) from only the 1st data source
Timestamp = date that any change/activity as been done on the record, not necessarily the creation of the contact from a specific data source
is there any attribute that could be enabled in Segmentation, which gives the date according to ID Origin, as I want to create a welcome campaign based on when the contact was created the first time in any ID origin.
Request clarification before answering.
Hello sajin_poil,
I've had the same requirement before and my approach was to create an interaction for each new contact. In this interaction I was able to create other custom fields that made sense for my business scenario and I used interaction timestamp as the 'creation time'. For example, interaction type 'Y_NEW_CONTACT' - 'New Contact'. For me this was a good approach because I got contact data (name, e-mail, phone, etc) and also other information related to the contact's creation (date, time, source of creation, user, etc).
Then, I simply created a trigger-based campaign using Y_NEW_CONTACT interaction as the trigger based on the timestamp (which is the creation time!).
I used this exactly for our Welcome campaigns 🙂
Not sure if this will work for you but I hope it gives you ideas.
BR,
Guilherme.

Hi Sajin,
I don't think so it's possible to segment based on ID_Orgin creation date.
Also not sure if Custom Field can help on this scenario.
best regards,
Kunal
