Has anybody been able to use the new segment builder for normal segmentation?

Note 1334838 says;

"From CRM 7.0 Enhancement Package 1 on the Flash application is also used for normal segmentation if the respective business function is activated."

Which are the business functions the note refers to?

Another question:

Do I need to have TREX active if I use only normal segmentation?

Hello Pierluigi,

here my comments & clarifications:

CRM 7.0 is the latest SAP release and the new User Interface is available for the high volume (TREX) segmentation only. If you want to use the classic segmentation you have to use the Java applet. For the classic segmenation it is not required to setup a TREX.

With the next release (CRM 7.0 EhP 1) it is planned to unify the user interface. The new User Interface is planned to support both classic and high volume segmentation.

Hi Pierluigi,

CRM 7.0 Enhancement Pack 1 is planned to be shipped in Q2 next year.

You are still on the latest CRM 7.0 release.
