Scenarios not supported with Contact-to-Account Relationships

Hi Experts,

I am planning to implement B2B scenario where customer contacts are assigned to multiple accounts replicated from C4C.

I can see in the below blog, where there are some known limitations with 2105 release: https://www.sap.com/cxworks/article/2589632499/contact_to_account_relationships_in_sap_marketing_clo...

The following scenarios are not supported with Contact-to-Account Relationships yet:

  • Creation of Contact-to-Account Relationships in the graphical user interface or via csv upload
  • Assignment of a custom business object to segmentation object "Contact Relationships"
  • Using the known standard segmentation profiles "All Contacts" or "All Accounts", the projections are not considered
  • Trigger-based campaigns do not support the use of contact relationship filters or content
  • Lead Nurture Streams
  • Campaigns for file-export
  • Mobile and digital channels

There are some major limitations i.e. Contact to Account relationship upload and Trigger-based campaign for contact relation filter. Can someone elaborate on what kind of limitations we can face if we opt for an option where customer contacts are assigned to multiple accounts?

Hi Karan,

in general using "B2B Relationship Best Records" is mainly some kind of an "Addon".

All features which are implemented based on the contact golden record will continue to work. So you won't loose any capabilities.

The main thing that changes implementation-wise is the use of API, please refer here:

Before You Start - SAP Help Portal

Judging if it makes sense for a customer to go with this new feature-set is difficult without knowing the details.
