scan a barcode and quantity - weighing scale

Hi,

I need an help regarding the plugin customization in SAP Customer Checkout. And my scenario is as below.

In the Itemcode/Barcode scan area of main "Sales Screen", I want to scan a barcode which is a combination of "Barcode" and "Quantity".

For example.

Actual Barcode - A00001

Actual Qty - 10.00

and the generated barcode will be like "A0000110.00"(Barcode and Qty)

As per the default functionality our system will throw error as "Unknown Item", but i would like to catch the event before throwing "Unknown Item" error and have to inject "Barcode" and "Quantity" in the respective field.

Currently i am trying to catch in the below event, but it is not working.

@PluginAt(pluginClass = IReceiptManager.class, method = "findOrCreate", where = PluginAt.POSITION.BEFORE)

So please help me to get the correct event with its functionality or recommend me the best way to achieve this.

Hello,

We developed a small demo plugin so that if you scan ArticleID?Quantity then this is added as accordingly (Article + Quantity) in the sales screen. I will send you the PlugIn (works in 2.0 FP04 and 2.0 FP05) + the code + a video which shows what it does.

Is it possible to get the material properties of scanned Item like "UDFString1" Or "ItemGroup" information in the same function?

It is not possible to get the information in the addNewSalesItem function. You will have to implement a separate backend call and write an endpoint in the Plugin to get this information.
