SAPUI5 & SAP Marketing Cloud: Barcode Scanning App

We would like to implement some custom app for the SAP Marketing Cloud which is using the device camera in order to scan barcodes.

I remember the native device capabilities (sap.ndc) including a barcode scanner which can be easily used within a SAPUI5 app. However, this can only be used within the Fiori Client app which will only be available via ticket from 2022. They can not be used in the browser.

Therefore, we would like to think about different options on how to implement a custom mobile app in the SAP Marketing Cloud which can use the device camera to read barcodes. Some quick search pointed to the JavaScript based libraries QuaggaJS and ZXingJS.

Did someone have a similar requirement and found some good solution?
