SAP Sales Cloud External Pricing in Opportunity

We want to use the external pricing from ERP in quotes and in opportunities in a Sales Cloud solution. Request for external pricing works for both objects, communication arrangements are set up and the requests get processed successfully. We see complete pricing in the quote as expected. However, we do not see any result of the pricing request in the opportunity.

Unfortunately we cannot monitor this case in the Web Service Monitor as this request leaves no information there. We check the CPI trace log instead. There is no error in CPI, the iflow is green - the request goes out to ER, it gets processed there and the response XML is also there. However it contains only some net amount values and that's it, the opportunity does not get updated with any of these values. it is also unclear what these items in the xml are and how this xml will be proccessed in C4.

Any Ideas on what still needs to be checked? What are we missing here?

So the issue was that it was a material with BOM, which was not set up for the sales quote document in ERP for some reason. So essentially - master data issue. we did not follow-up anymore, as the functionality turned out to be unnecessary as the customer always offers custom prices and there is no standard price in ERP.

Hi Julija,

If you execute the external pricing on the order related elements it is to be expected that the external pricing can be executed well and data is given back. You have no pricing errors within the opportunity transaction? And the item categories are also well mapped? With the customer you are using for testing you can create an end to end quote flow? Did you check the master data of your customer in ERP and C4C and is (sales area) data well mapped?

If the issue still presist, then reach out to SAP via an incident.

For Opportunitiy external pricing request we use a different communication arrangement and subsequently a different Iflow in CPI, than for quotes. The document type is not in the XML generated by C4 and there is only a particular value for the sales order type directly in the CPI (standard for this iflow).

I am not sure how the sales orde simulation works in ERP, but we do get a response back (see screenshot of the xml), no error. Unfortunately it has not effect on the opportunity from which we triggered the request. And we do not see any information in the webservice monitor on C4 side for this scenario either.

Hi,

As ERP has no opportunity I am curious what pricing elements in ERP you are referring to for your external pricing? Might there be some thing missing on ERP site?

Hi Marie,

The opportunity uses the sales order simulation in ERP, so I would expect it to return the values from the pricing procedure for each condition type. We have set up the pricing procedure for the quote, which works, so I expected it to work similarly for opportunity I am not sure what is missing on ERP side or C4 side in the set up.
