Dear Friends,
I understand we cannot carry out an ATP check for a spare part item in a service order but as per SAP we can carry out an availability check for a sales item and system will provide the confirmed date and availability.
I am unable to identify the setting for the ATP check. There is a spro node for "Define ATP profile" but there are no controlling parameters. where can we define the checking rule/checking group for ATP for a sales item in a service order?
Request clarification before answering.
Hello Sankalp,
checking rule is always A (or AE, AQ, etc. if you have special stock). This is hard coded (took me a while to debug). Checking group is from material master. Plant determination is according to SD (delivery plant in material, customer, etc.).

Thanks for your reply. What I am looking for is the setting in SPRO to activate the ATP check for a sales item in a service order. I could see the below settings but then how can we activate/configure the ATP profile with the defined parameters?
Once this would be activated/set then I checking rule and other set up will be considered for the ATP check.

as far as I know there are no settings for ATP Profile. It is just defining one Profile and then assigning it to Item Category.
It is just "ATP Profile assigned" od "ATP Profile not assigned".
Additionally you need the following settings to make it work:
- Transaction FIBF: Settings -> Identification -> SAP Applications: CRMATP must be active
- your Item Category must be defined additionally in SD customizing as SD Item Category. For this Item Category you set up all your necessary customizing for ATP Check
