SAP Marketing On-premise opens a new window when select customer in Contact profile app

Hi All,

We are on SAP Marketing On-premise version 1809. In Profile app, when we click on any customer , It opens in a new screen where "Me Panel" is not available. As per our basis team, The Profile App is a cloud based app due to which some functionality is not available on-premise.

Has anyone faced similar issue?mike-jackson.png

Hi nidhigoyal0909 ,

In order to have new SAP Fiori based "Contacts" app, you should assign SAP_CEI_BCR_CFS1_OP to your user using SU01 transaction.

I don't have a good technical explanation for this, but in my understanding that in a separate window you get opening apps that are not fiori apps (old apps). As soon as they are migrated to the fiori, then they are opening on the same screen.

There used to be a lot of these in the past, but more and more are migrated to the fiori, though some are still left.
