Hello All, We recently implemented Hybris/SAP Marketing on-premise (1709 SP01) and are looking to implement IN 365 as our ESP (Email Service Provider). We've run into major issue, one of them being unable to receive "email Opens" from GMail and Yahoo mail. We receive it if a customer clicks on a link in the email, but that's pointless, because the "Open Emails" help us strategize subject lines/content (A/B testing and changing what we send). We currently use IBM Watson Campaign Automation/Silverpop that's supports this functionality, so this seems like an expensive downgrade. SAP Marketing is adding a 1x1 tracking pixel to track "Open Emails", but GMAIL and YAHOO is restricting "Email Open" through there proxy servers. Due to this basic functionality seems to be missing from SAP Marketing On-Premise which is a huge setback. Since GMAIL and YAHOO restricitng this tracking pixel and loading images from there proxy server.

can anyone let us know if anyone having any kind of working solutions.Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks, Rajesh N

I have a customer with a similar issue. We have an open incident on the issue and have raised it to the product team. At this time it is hard to tell if this is a general issue or if something has changed with Gmail or if this is a specific configuration issue. I will keep the community posted as we uncover more information.

Hi Rajesh,
are you saying it is working for other Email providers? Like AOL, mail.ru, hotmail etc.?
This is important to ensure that no configuration issue on your side exists.
Thanks and regards
Maik

Hi Rajesh,
Maik is right, please let us know, if it works with all the other providers.
Furthermore, I checked IBM Watson Campaign Automation and based on their documentation they also use tracking pixels. Basically because it is industry standard. You can find the IBM documentation here.
Did you warm up your IP and generally followed the basic rules of email deliverability, before you started with your first big campaign?
Cheers, Anton
