Sap Marketing - Commerce integration with Spartacus

Hi community,

we have a SAP Marketing, Commerce and CRM all on-premise landscape. The commerce team want's to migrate the storefront to spartacus. From my understanding, the standard Commerce -> Marketing Integration doesn't work with Spartacus as Spartacus doesn't support the necessary extensions needed for the replication of click stream, consents, shopping carts etc.

Is there an alternative integration approach or will the extensions be migrated to Spartacus anytime soon?

Thank you!

Richard

Hi ,

Spartacus: Headless Storefront on SAP Commerce Cloud

Spartacus is a headless storefront innovated with Angular JS on SAP Commerce Cloud? Simplify and speed up development using a modern JavaScript storefront.

Spartacus architecture is extendible and storefront communicates with commerce platform using REST APIs. It can be customized for business needs.

Spartacus architecture consists of three key modules.

Core

It consists of commerce key functionalities

UI Components

This is for UI templates

Styles

This is for customer presentation

Key Characteristics of Spartacus

An open source headless storefront based on JavaScript frameworks and tools.

A single page application with PWA features.

The storefront is customizable and extendible both at a run and build time.

Merge new features from releases into your storefront.

Decoupled and upgradable architecture.

We can build custom libraries as well to re-use the component in multiple sites.

Libraries are provided with OOTB components which are completely separated so we can dictate whatever we want or extend.

Capabilities

Storefront-specific build steps ensure multiple storefronts can be built independently of the Commerce platform.

JavaScript storefronts are deployed separately to the Commerce the platform, enabling independent scaling.

Extensible server side rendering enables web crawlers to index content without impacting the customer experience.

Hi Keshav,

thank you for your response. I understand what Spartacus is and about how it works. But there is no documentation how some integration scenarios that are based on the accelerator storefront will work in the future with angular or if the will be an alternative.

For example these extensions:
