SAP Marketing Cloud - External target group

Hi,

we know that it is possible to create a segment in SAP Marketing Cloud using an object key upload .

Once the segment is created (with contacts that are not in SAP Marketing Cloud) and then we create a target group from this segment, are the new contacts created in SAP Marketing cloud database or not? Can we send them an email campaign?

Hi Carolina,

Members of target groups are always contacts in SAP Marketing Cloud. Kindly elaborate on how you imported the target group with some screenshots.

You should be able to click on the contact in the target group and this will bring you to the Profile app where you can see the individual contact. If the contact has an email address (with marketing permission opt-ins) you should be able to send them campaigns via SAP Marketing Cloud.
