Our system contains corporate accounts and contact persons of those accounts. Our segmentations are focusing on the contact persons. Now I got some very common use case:
I have created a custom field for the accounts within business context "Marketing: Corporate Account". Let's say it's "Public Sector" (checkbox). Now I would like to exclude those contacts whose company is situated in the public sector. So the custom account data would need to be available for contact segmentation just as those:

What would be the smartest way to achieve this? By default, those attributes are not available within the contact segmentaton object customizing. Custom views are always an option but not the best one. Would another business context help here?
Thanks for the exchange.

Hey schneidert,
so initially I had enabled custom fields for the contacts segmentation object already...

Do I maybe need to go via "Configure Visibility of Custom Fields" in order to find the new custom fields? Because this way I found the account's public sector attribute...
So does the "Configure Visibility of Custom Fields" view differ from the "Segmentation Configuration > Segmentation Objects and Attributes > Contacts > Data Source" view?

Actually I'm a little bit confused now...
