Hello,
Our company wants to set up email campaigns using sap marketing.
Our IT department thinks that our regular (e)smtp server is sufficient for this.
I have my doubts that a email server can handle the requirements like delayed sending, collection of bounces & unsubscribes etc.
Also for the integration part I think we need an http api connection to the ESP and definitely not an smtp connection.
Could we use the Generic interface for this (SAP_COM_0234) in combination with CPI? According to this link maybe it is possible.
Service Provider and Available Features
Would we need http access to this server or would smtp be sufficient?
Regards,
Tom

Hello Tom,
You can refer to blog - Generic Email and Text Message Integration.
We cannot comment on what features your eSMTP provides, and offcourse http connection is needed.
Thank you.
