SAP Marketing Cloud - Can't create Budget Plans

Hi everyone,

In the "budget plans"-app I'm not able to create a budget plan.

I defined a planning model in the "configure my solution" app and have a brand in my system.

Also my user has the default role of a "marketing manager" which is needed to create budget plans.

Though I can't create any plans in the budget plans app.

Which further steps are required to create budget plans in the Marketing Cloud?

Can anyone help?

Best regards

Tobias

Hi,

For me it worked when I removed brand from my model...

I haven't looked deeper into it, but maybe somewhere you need to assign brand to market area?

PS did you also check if regions are assigned to country, and countries are assigned to market?

Mabye also the "use media type" flag can be the cause, if you turn it off, do you then get results?

Kr,

Hi Joyca,

on-prem it also worked with brands, so I think it should also work in cloud. But I will try.

I don't know if brands could be assigned to marketing areas. Is that possible?

Countries are assigned to the right market.

I turned the "use media type" flag off, but just get the same results.

Kind regards

Tobias

Hi Joyca,

I removed BRAND from the planning model, now it works. Very strange, because I have values for brands in the system.

Thanks for your help 🙂

Hi Kunal,

my user has the role of a Marketing Manager (BR_MARKETING_MANAGER) with the assigned catalog for planning (SAP_CEC_BC_MKT_PLG1_PC) with unrestricted read and write-access.

Any further ideas?

Hello Kunal,

as recommended by vervinckt.joyca, I removed "BRAND" from the planning model (though I have uploaded values for brands in my system). Now it works as expected. Very strange.. Maybe you could check it in your cloud system if that's a bug.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Tobias

Hi Joyca,

Are you on-premise or cloud? Did you upload Brands? If there are no values for Brands, it it will not work. You need to have values for all the dimensions that you use in your planning model. This is mentioned in our documentation.

If you are on-premise, you also need to set the Areas of Responsibility. Kindly let me know if you are on-premise or cloud and which version of the software that you are using so that I can refer to you to the right documentation to support you.

Best Regards
