SAP DBM 8.1 Integration

Hello Experts,

I want to know how the integration happens between DBM 8.1 and S4 Hana. For example when a Vehicle is sold how is the accounting document generated from DBM to simple finance. Thanks in advance.

Hi Hussain,

DBM 8.1 provides the option to search with SAP HANA-based searches.

Find details in release notes for DBM 8.1 which you can find in SAP Help Portal for DBM:

Select Release notes under "Whats new" .

The DBM functionality regarding FI document creation when vehicle is sold was not changed:

Vehicle order has to be created and billed.

Standard DBM ordertype 3000 can be used for this business process.

I have gone through the release notes for 8.1 but I was not able to get a clear view on my concern area. My main concern is-

If a company wants to implement S4 Hana for standard FICO,SD,MM etc processes and for vehicle sales DBM, will S4 Hana system and DBM ECC will be in two separate systems?
