SAP CRM ORDER issue

In SAP CRM, I have created one order with reference to quote.

In that order, sales order number is visible in reference field instead of quote number.

Quote number should be there in reference field in that Sales order?

Could anyone please tell the root cause for this error.

I am not sure which "reference field" you mean in the sales order? Please check the transaction history, there the quote should be visible. I recommend also to check the copy badi, maybe you have your own solution there to copy the ref. number?
