SAP Commerce to CPI - SSL failing

Hi CPI Experts,

Trying to assist a customer connecting from CCV1 SAP Commerce --> CPI and SSL is failing.

Basic auth works.
The certificate is has been generated in SAP BTP cockpit and Role created.
Additionally on the Commerce side, property cpi.authentication.client.certificate=true is set.

The following exception occurs:

HttpClientErrorException: 401

GUIDAuthenticationSuccessHandler: Fail to retrieve customer contract information
ContractInfoException: Rest call failed

Any help appreciated.
