I have this message in the Commerce Cloud Portal:

SAP Commerce Cloud Maintenance Notification Kubernetes Upgrade available.

But, I don't understand what Kubernetes is for?

Is that an automatic update of the Portal system?

Or the user must do some procedure?

There are regular updates to the infrastructure behind SAP Commerce Cloud. See KBA:

Besides that message, you may receive a notification via CSNS. SAP Cloud System Notification Subscriptions (CSNS) application makes it easy to add, customize, and manage subscriptions to the Cloud Availability Center notifications. Using this tool, and keeping up-to-date contacts, customer can remain constantly informed and receive timely updates regarding your SAP cloud services, including – but not limited to – planned and unplanned downtimes and any other customer communication.
