SAP CCtr Communication Panel errors

Greetings,

The whole ECF and CP functionality is quite new to me. I'm trying to get the basics up and running, but when ever I try to open Directory, Picklist or Interaction History I get "The user is not authorized to access the resource."

In the browser console log I see "403 - The user is not authorized to access the resource. sap.ecf".

Can anybody clarify if this is a certificate issue? I also see in the console that it is trying to make a GET request againts the ECF_Agents VU. Is this normal?

I'm trying the functions with one user and I've given it tons of rights to almost all the objects.

Hi Alder,
It's new for everybody and definitely a learning experience.

Overall Communication Panel consumes a lot of restful interfaces, for example the mentioned directory, piclist and interaction history are coming via restful interface. Please check if you can see anything in those logs around this issue. Additionally for ex. callback is now handled via restful stack. Easiest way to check what all restful has is via help.sap.com integrations documents.

Additionally some data Communication Panel uses is transferred via ECF model, for example queue lists and incoming interaction notifications. If you have queue lists visible, then we are most probably not talking about certificate issue. The ECF model is built by Agent Server and passed to ECF VUs.

So, we are most probably speaking about issue with restful interface here. Please check that restful interface exist on your system and is on same server where "ECF agent" is running. If you wish to check that everything is fine with your user, then login to CDT and check if the same functionality is ok.

Hi Jukka and thanks for your clarification.

Did a lot of tinkering around yesterday and managed to get it working. Indeed it was a certificate issue and from there the keystore issues. Had to collect the guidelines for certificate and keystores from several SAP manuals 🙂 . But eventually got the links to open without errors - "The user is not authorized to access the resource."

Hi ,

I also have same issue, however i have '405' error with same discerption , we have installed the ECF and Restful VU's and we are not able to answer the incoming call and even if we dial the call , the dial pad simple disappears after the click on 'call' button, no action. Could you please let us know what certificate are those? and also how can we check Restful API are there in my system.? and do we need to install any certificates in the chrome browser? .
