SAP C4C - How to configure hard and soft bounces

Dear all,

I need to configure bounces in order to identify soft and hard bounces.

In the activity fine tuning, "Enhanced Campaign Execution", I can configure how to detect soft bounces.

1- How does it work?

2- I must define keywords for every language!? What if I execute worldwide marketing campaign? Where can I see the reason of a soft or hard bounce?

3- In case of soft bounce, does the system automatically tries to send the email again?

  1. When an email is sent to a wrong or non-existing email address, the email is bounced immediately.
  2. When an email cannot be sent to the recipient because of the recipient mail server not reachable or giving 4XX error, The mail infrastructure configuration does attempt to send the mail every One hour for a maximum of 3 days(72 hours) or 100 retry attempts, after which a hard bounce mail will be sent if the email still cannot be relayed to the recipient address.

if I send an email from ticket to a wrong email...where I can see the bounce email?

You cannot monitor outbound emails under WSMM. Bounce back emails are anyways displayed within the ticket interactions. More details on outbound emails can be seen under Activities->E-mails.
