Hi all,
how to set the approval status to "approval not necessary"?
We have a certain approval process with some criteria which opportunities need approval. But currently, the others the button "send to approval" is just greyed out. I would be nicer to see that this business object (in my case: opportunity) don't need an approval.
So I recognized that there is an approval status and the value "approval not necessary" existis as value. How to set this?
Thanks & best regards,
Deborah

As in KBA 2681410 describes, it works differently as expected from me...
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
If you setup the approval process and you submit the opportunity to approval, the system checks in the background if any of the approval steps defined fit to the opportunity data.
If no conditions fits, the approval status is automatically set to "no approval necessary" by the system.

stefanieehlert Then, perhaps there is something set up wrong in our system (some question at scoping level?). At the moment, if no condition fits the button "submit for approval" is greyed out. Just if the condition is met, I can submit the opportunity for approval.
Do you know how to change that stefanieehlert ?
i dont that flies. I tried it. Please check 2681410 - Approval Status of Opportunities
Hi Deborah Albrecht,
Check if any field level rule is assigned to the action" Submit for approval" in opportunity if u are using manual submission.
