SAP C4C Analytics Design Data Source move Key figure fields into Characteristic fields

Hello experts,

I am designing a new combined data source for reporting some visits with activities in SAP C4C, and need to include some Key User Custom fields in this. The problem is that these fields are of Decimal type, and therefore in the Data Source they are automatically added as Key Figure fields. I need them as characteristic fields. Is there any way on how to do that?

I've already tried to create new texts fieleds and fill them automatically with the source custom field of decimal type using workflow rules but no luck as their data types doesn't match.

have you tried updating the field in a Workflow rule with Update Type = 'Formula' instead of 'Copy From Field'?
