I’m reaching out regarding an important topic — the implementation of SAP Service and Asset Manager (SAM) for Mobile execution integrated with SAP Field Service Management (FSM) for Planning and Dispatching in the context of Asset Management Maintenance Orders (SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud).
Based on the following blog post: [link], which describes the integration scenarios and overall solution landscape, I still have a few open questions:
Is the integration between Asset Management Maintenance Orders and FSM a standard integration provided by SAP?
When dispatching is performed in FSM and the activity is released, does it update the Maintenance Order in S/4HANA? How exactly does this synchronization work?
Does this landscape also support the usage of Crews and Teams assignment?
Regarding Smartforms, as I understand, they can be created in FSM (Web) and attached to the activity, which is then sent back to Asset Manager is that correct?
For confirmations, after the execution phase, are they replicated back to FSM for approvals, or are they directly integrated between Asset Manager and the S/4HANA backend?
If anyone has detailed documentation or implementation guides covering these integration flows, that would be highly appreciated.
