Sales Return not booked through to SBO because of unqiue serial number issue

The setting in SBO is that serial numbers are managed by unique serial numbers.

If a sales return is done in CCO they are using Serial Number (but it is OSRN.DistNumber) as their standard serialnumber field.

This ends up in following error in CCO Monitor:

999 - DI Error: (-10) 10001172 - Blank strings are not allowed in row 1 (in unique field). [OSRN.SysNumber][line: 0]-The di call #1 did fail.

is there any idea how to solve this problem?

I tried on my test system with these settings (I assume these are common default settings, at least I cannot remember ever having changed them):

Unique Serial Numbers by = Serial Number

The item A00006 is managed by serial numbers. A return was successfully posted from CCO to B1:

• B1: 10.0 PL02
• CCO: 2.0 FP12 PL02
• CCO scenarios in B1if: 4.0.41

What might be different in your setup? It must be something more "unique" because otherwise we would have long heard about this error.
