Sales order line item mandatory

Dear All,

we want to system not to allow to save sales order without entering line item. entering line item need to be mandatory in sales order.

Please help to fix this. Thanks in Advance.

"but not worked out" does not provide useful information, sorry.

Actually if you have no budget for development and if you do not use free items in orders it is possible to use header incompletion and prevent order creation without items.

Other than that - navigate to System Modifications IMG node in SPRO and read the summary of the available exits, especially the ones in User Exits in Sales Document Processing. There are a few options out of which as a last resort one can use userexit_save_document_prepare in mv45afzz or one can try mv45afzb userexit_check_vbap I guess.

To be fair I cannot see much benefit for such business requirement, this is not like number gaps in billing documents and it happens usually with less experienced users who eventually learn how to create sales orders (after you send them a few times a list of the incorrectly created orders and recommend some additional exercises for them in the QAS system).
