Sales BOM within Sales BOM - Error "No item category for component"

Hi! I've created sales bom, and other sales boms that are components of that higher level sales bom. When I enter them on my quote I get error: No item category for component....

All of the "boms" have header level.

I went to change the subset boms to item level instead of header, but it still doesn't work.

Can someone help here?

Hi,

are you talking about CRM or ERP system? What I can see the message you got is V1617 and this is a ERP message... I think then this is wrong community.

I can only recommend to check the customizing settings in VOV4.
