"Best record" sending from marketing to C4C

Hello experts, I have a question about the integration between Hybris Marketing and C4C. My C4C system it is connected to both Marketing and ERP (Marketing is not connected to ERP or vice versa). My ERP system is sending customers data to C4C and Marketing is also sending contacts data to C4C based on "best record" process. My question is if in C4C is created a double record (one by source) if the same contact is sent from the two systems paralelly and must be merged manually? or is there any way for C4C to understand the logic of automatic merging performed by Marketing and only keep one record?

Hi Juan,

I assume there is some sort of merging program in C4C and based on that program you need to define a primary external key(e.g email) which will be same in both ERP and Hybris Marketing as well but for sure will have two individual & unique id's in both individual systems, however when both systems independently push data into C4C the C4C system should check and merge both contact just like how marketing does based on hard match & soft match algorithms. assuming email is unique and primary i would expect C4C to match and merge them.

You may also explore if there is any contact create BADI's available in C4C for modification to influence the customer create behavior.

Hi JD,

what do you mean by "best record" process? There is only one standard process by which marketing interaction contacts are replicated to C4C system. This is via "Create Lead" campaign action. If interaction contacts assigned to lead busines document are not known in C4C System they are created as business partners with status "in preparation". Converting the lead these business partners become standard business partners.

If interaction contacts assigned to lead busines document are known in C4C system only the references to the existing C4C business partners are assigned to the C4C lead business document.If switched on in C4C standard duplicate checks are performed on to be converted business partners.
