Quick Service Mode - Paying out Money as a Voucher

How is "Paying out Money as a Voucher" is working in Quick Service Mode? In Retail Mode there is a separat button "Pay out by ...".

I think there is a serious bug since at least PL10:

1. Park and resume a receipt
2. Add a Payment greater than receipt and pay-out the rest as voucher

The result is, that the original receipt is parked again and a new receipt with just the pay-out voucher ist created and closed.

Can you reproduce this?

Yes. I have done a test in 2.0 FP08 PL12 and got the same (erroneous) result as you. The error is in the new UI only (i.e. in the Retail UI there is no issue).

Yes we have many different voucher articles. Just a particular one is for the "pay out by voucher" scenario and is also defined as default. Nevertheless it is not shown as default, when creating a voucher in "pay out by voucher". Not in Quick Service, nor in Retail.

The quick selection button would be the better solution for us - but I would need some hints how my plugin can recognise a Quick Selection Button Click to set the voucher amount automatically. Any Idea?

In Quick service UI mode I agree with you: CCO should show the default voucher article in the first popup in the "pay out by voucher" scenario. It appears that currently the voucher article top of the Article ID of voucher configuration table in CCO is shown. No matter if this article is marked as default or not. You may open a support incident for that.

Regarding your second point how to build your plug-in that it sets the pay-out amount automatically: I would like to open up this question to the entire community (particularly plug-in developers may be able to provide an input).

You are right about the already existing feature within the payment types:

Regarding your remark that it does not work for card or voucher I am not sure what you mean. Like in above example the customer overpays by Credit Card and gets the difference back as a voucher.

What I see as a missing functionality is a Function type button in the quick selections that could do this job. Currently this is not implemented.

Do I understand your use case correctly: You have more than one voucher article configured. And for this "pay out by voucher" scenario you always want to use one particular voucher article (which is not the one marked as default in the CCO configuration). Is that it? You could meet that requirement by assigning the desired voucher article to an Article type quick selection button.

I agree however this is just a workaround and it does not take away the task to enter the voucher amount manually.

Thank you for your answer. Now after further testing I found out, that this functionality is not missing but maybe a bit too hidden. Within payment option Cash and pressing the button next to Change Amount, then you find the correctly working option Voucher. (Remark: On other payment options like Card or Voucher this also implemented but do not work or even give sense to me.)

Do you know if and how it is possible by Plugin to preselect a certain Voucher Article ID in the following screen?

For usability your suggestion might be better, but also for this I need my Plugin to react on a quick selection button. Maybe you know how?

This feature is not yet implemented in the Quick service UI mode. It can therefor be considered as a missing functionality. You may use the influence portal (https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/1731) to submit your request and close this gap.

As a workaround I would suggest to have a quick selection button with a voucher item.

The cashier can then enter the voucher amount manually in order to balance the receipt.
