Quick Selection is not enabled in Retail Mode configuration area but view in sales screen

Dear Experts ,

I have recently upgraded both Customer checkout manager and Customer checkout system to 2.0 FP 09 PL 24 from 2.0 PL 08 PL 13 . So here after I have experienced that the quick selection in retail mode configuration section is seeing like below ,

But the early configured quick selection can be used in the sales screen and functioning but cannot do any adjustments . And when view the quick selection section in Checkout manager it is display as below and no configuration called "common" which i early configured in retail mode .

So really appreciated if can get an advice on the same that how can I get enable the quick selection in retail mode configuration tab as early . Thanks in advance .

Thanks for the clarification. I understand now.

You are in the (old) retail UI mode.

In FP08 it was possible to maintain the quick selection locally, i.e. on each Customer Checkout, like you said and did.

In FP09 onwards this can only be done centrally via Customer Checkout manager:

Now - after your upgrade to FP09 - as your quick selection was never stored centrally in CCO manager it has to be created from scratch. No data got lost and also there is no issue in displaying the data like I assumed in the first place. It is just that you need to create your quick selection in the CCO manager for the first time now. Our guide should be a helpful resource.

Dear Gunther ,

Yes that was the exact thing what had happened . I have again updated to the FP 11 PL 04 to check it out and noticed the all new retail mode is there . Now i can config the quick selection from the scratch as you mentioned and it is working fine there . If there anything will come back to you . Thanks for the noble support as always .

Hi Gunther ,

Thanks for the follow up and continues support on the above concern . For your kind understanding this is standalone installation of CCO with CCOM and in the old version (FP 08 PL 13) there was the ability to change the quick selection in the retail UI with in the customer checkout it self . But after upgrading to the (FP 09 PL 24) the quick selection was there in the sales screen in the retail UI mode but cannot edit with in customer check out as I did early . That ability has transferred to Customer checkout manager and from there when i went to check how to edit the quick selection configuration from customer checkout manager it shows sample of kiosk mode quick selection configuration only . I will check this option as well as advised and if not succeeded will try with the latest update again and see . Thanks again for the valuable advices in this regards .

Hi tharindu,

Could it be possible that before the upgrade you were running CCO in the old Retail UI? And now after the upgrade you switched to the Kiosk / Quick service UI? The way you describe the problem makes me think that.

In order to make sure the quick selection you are missing is in the CCO manager database, run this query:

SELECT Text from [CCOmanagerdatabasename].SELECTIONSTRUCTURE where PARENTSTRUCTURE_OBJECTKEY IS NULL

One of the results should be "Common".

Hi Gunther ,

Really appreciated your support on this . I would not say that there been a data loss but the option not been enabled from customer checkout but in the customer checkout manager and it looks like Koski mode quick selection in the new version which was possible config in customer checkout retail mode itself in the early version . So I will check what you advised and will come back anything is there . Thank you .

Hi tharindu,

I would assume this is more a web service / UI related issue rather than a loss of data after the CCOm upgrade.

Can you please clear your browser cache:

  1. In the web browser hit F12 to open the development console
  2. Left of the browser URL bar right click the circle shaped arrow
  3. Select Empty cache and hard reload
  4. Hit F12 again to close the development console

You could also clear the Apache Tomcat cache in the folder C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat...\work\Catalina
