Promoting facet values does not reorder them

I have to meet a custom facet ordering but I don't really want to create a custom sort provider for a single facet, so I tried putting them in order using promoted values but the order does not reflect in backoffice. I even put the mpl.adaptivesearch.facetvalue.enabled to true in HAC but it still does not work

I am trying to promote a facet value in adaptive search. It reflects in the preview section but does reflect on the storefront.
