Hello Community,
What is the recommendation to consume the master data of products when an event is ingested to the SAP CDP?.
Should the product schema be created inside the event schema of orders, carts, returns, etc?, and always send the complete master data of each of the products within the event ?
Or what is the recommendation towards the information from a product perspective, in order to segment and have activites indicators based on product categories or product IDs?
I've been reading the documentation and watching the videos but haven't found anything regarding this, can you please share it?, if available
Kind regards.

Hi,
If you wish to enrich you event being ingested with additional data including product data then SAP CDP now supports Event enrichment. When we ingest an event from a source application we are able to allow you to call your own endpoint that can retrieve additional information that may not have been available in the source application. The documentation for this is available here - https://help.sap.com/viewer/8438f051ded544d2ba1303e67fc5ff86/PROD/en-US/67ac7304cead44a9a6b762f583fe...
When Segmenting Product data, it is to typically do so at a Category level however this is dependant on the use case being implemented, this allows you to better understand the types of products a customer is looking at and or purchased. If a customer has purchased for example a TV you will no longer wish to upsell them products in this category for a period of time but you may wish to promote related category upsell products e.g. a TV stand.
Thanks
Stephen
