Hello Expert,

Currently, we are using Hybris version 6.6, Is there any way to ensure product-level promotion should fire(execute) before order-level promotion irrespective of priority?

Is this possible in the higher version of hybris 1811?

Thanks & Regards,

Ram Ashish Chauhan

Hi bruno.gonzalez,

I have updated this question tag with promotion and promotion engine, is this ok or need to create another question for this.

Thanks & Regards

I think that's enough. If you want more visibility I recommend a new question 🙂

Oh, I see ramashishchauhan. From that answer, I recommend you to post the question with those tags, because you're not using SAP Marketing for that promotion. Regards,

Hi bruno.gonzalez

When a customer add item to the cart that qualifies for both item-level promotions and order level promotions then product level promotion should be executed before the order level promotion. Business asks here is, ignore the priority of promotion and ensure that if any product qualify for both item-level and order level execute product level promotion first and then recalculate the cart and then if the cart is eligible (after product discount, cart total- product discount) for threshold then fire the order level promotion.

Please find the following scenario.

A product promotion PRODUCT_PROMOTION_P1 having 10% off ON PRODUCT P1 with price $500 and

Another cart threshold promotion is ORDER_PROMOTION_O1, having a condition (threshold > $500) and action is 20% off on cart.

1) Add product P1 into cart total is now 500.

2) PRODUCT_PROMOTION_P1 should fire first, hence order total is now $450.

3) Since after item level promotion cart total is now less than the ORDER_PROMOTION_O1 condition then it not going to execute.

So finally Customer gets $50 off, However, if we execute order-level first then it's given as following. ORDER_PROMOTION_O1 => $100 PRODUCT_PROMOTION_P1 => $40 So customers get overall $140 but actual business asks (above example) for only $50.

Thanks for the explanation ramashishchauhan. I'm not seeing how you implement that on the SAP Marketing side. Which module are you using? Regards,

Hi ramashishchauhan. Can you give us some details about the implementation? Are you using the product recommendation functionality?

From a business perspective, what are you trying to achieve?
