Product and Assortments mapping in Hybris

Hello Experts,

Could someone help me to understand how product and assortment mapping works . And how many Assortments can be created per Product in Hybris and is there any limitation .

There is no limitation as such. Please check https://wiki.hybris.com/display/hybrisALF/Products and https://wiki.hybris.com/display/hybrisALF/Product+Data+Management for more information.

Please make sure to check catalog-items.xml to understand the relationship among product, category, catalog, catalog version, classification system etc.
