Pricing is not correctly determined for Sales Orders When Fast Entering Line Items

When entering items on a Sales Order document without selecting the product from the product list dropdown, or without hitting the Enter button after entering some data, the pricing might not be determined correctly.

In general, this practice is performed to enter the items faster on a Sales Order, specially when there are too many products.

The Fast Entry functionality should be used in these cases according to the following steps:

  1. Open the Sales Order.
  2. Go to the Items tab.
  3. Click on Fast Entry. Ten empty lines will be created.
  4. Add multiple items (you can enter them any way you want, hitting the Enter button is not necessary).
  5. After the item entries are completed, Click on the Check Fast Entry button.

The system then checks all data created and performs pricing and product availability. This way, the pricing will always be calculated correctly, and it is a good option to enter multiple items quickly, but still consistently.

For more information on the Fast Entry functionality, please check the Help Portal Sales Orders Quick Guide - Create a Sales Order (section no. 7, item C, there is a note describing the Fast Entry)
