Price variant config BOM at componet level for few components

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement from the business where we need to price variant config BOM at the component level and a few at the main item level.

We explored options and suggested maintaining the pricing at the component material level but they do not want to maintain separate condition records at the component level and want this requirement to be achieved with the current variant config pricing condition records only. As it increases the maintenance and impacts downstream for pricing.

For example:

BOM material has

Component-1

Component-2

component-3

Business wants the pricing to be -

BOM -> Component-1 price + Component-2 price

Componet-1 --> No pricing

Component-2 --> No pricing

Component-3 -->Componet-3 price

Condition records are maintained at the BOM variants level.

if anyone has come across a similar requirement, could you please help or guide?
