Predictive study of SAP Marketing Cloud and SAP Predictive Analytics.

Hi experts

I have a question about the use of the APP Predictive study.

I see that in SMC some predictive study models are already preconfigured, but reading the documentation I understand that you must have SAP Predictive Analytics installed, is it an additional application such as SAP Analytics Cloud?

Without SAP Predictive Analytics the preconfigured models don't work?

And how are those predictive models trained?

Here is a fragment of the documentation:

"A predictive model is based on a predictive scenario and one or more model fits. It can also include additional details, such as training sets.

A Predictive Scenario consists of one or more data sources and assigned implementation methods, both personalized to your use case. For the consumer buying trend, the case of Business utilization is used to calculate the probability that new customers will purchase one of your products.

The data sources consist of data from customers who have recently purchased the product and as an implementation method you want to use SAP Predictive Analytics.

Models that use a statistical implementation method, such as SAP Predictive Analytics must train. The training set you use is the target group and the historical data of the members."

Hello,

I assume, you mean the app "Predictive Studio" in SMC.

It is a misunderstanding, that SAP Predictive Analytics needs to be installed. The model training of Predictive Models in SMC happens with APL (Automated Predictive Library) embedded in SAP HANA, which is an integral part of SMC. No additional installations are required.
