plugin.pepper.message.terminal.open.failed when starting CCO

I tried to install CCO with treibauf on my own machine. I also installed the drivers of a Verifone VX820, but have not yet connected this device to my system yet. Monday I will get it connected, but I am trying to make everything ready for that day.

When starting CCO I am receiving an error.

plugin.pepper.message.terminal.open.failed

What is this? Or is it because no Terminal is connected?

Hi Ronald,

this error is probably related to the fact that the terminal is not connected. For a more detailed error message check the log files of pepper in your pepper configuration folder.

I checked the log file however the error is also now a bit changed. It is saying a mandatory parameter is missing. If I check the log file the ip-adres and port are missing. But I am going to use the terminal by using an USB connection (COM 9 if I am correct). So this should not be mandatory in this case I think.

Hi Arne,

At the customer I connected the EFT machine. It was not connected with USB, but via Ethernet. I filled in the IP-adres and portnummer and now when I start the CCO it gives EFT OK.

So that seems to be ok.

However I am now getting some other issues.

It is giving a timeout when trying to test the connection.

any Idea?

Found the issue, also on this. The portnumber seemed not to be OK. CCO was ginving EFT OK, because confiugration seems to be complete, but even with a wrong configuration it is still going wrong. But now we got it working.
