Can any one let me know what is the exact significance on these two things
persistence type="cmp"
persistence type="jalo"
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
CMP stands for "Container Managed Persistence" and is a persistence type that was invited at the very beginning of the hybris platform (named jakarta back then).... in the good(?) old EJB times etc. This mode was never used in projects, at least not in the last 10+ years, so just ignore it. If you see attributes defined with cmp persistence type, this is for sure due to compatibility reasons.
JALO stands for "Jakarta Logic" (as mentioned, jakarta is the former name of the hybris platform). Since the hybris platform has the service layer in place, all jalo code and persistence is deprecated. So, also here: ignore jalo.
If you want to know a bit more about the jalo layer, have a look here: https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/Jalo+Layer or here https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/Jalo-only+Attributes
Hope this helps... Rainer
