Performing central day end closing for multiple checkout applications

Hi Team,

We have installed multiple checkout applications on tablets for our customer. They only have one physical cash drawer but use all these tablets for sale purpose.

Right now they have to perform day end closing on all tablets separately as they don't talk to each other. Which is quiet difficult for them as physical cash drawer is only one.

Is it possible to perform central day end closing for all checkout applications? May be through checkout manager?

Hello Gunjan,

Automatic day end closing was introduced to handle these kind of cases. Specially for bigger customers and deals when they do not want to do a day end closing manually in each PoS.
We have customer with 250+ PoS. They use this functionality to avoid a manual day end closing.

For the automatic, the system matches the money in the cash box(target) to the sales(expected) and there is no cash balancing created.
You can also decide how often you want to do it, what time to do it, and whether to leave the money in the box or take it out.

You can combine this with "system shut down setting", so that you can schedule a automatic day end closing at 10 PM and system shutdown at 10.05 AM. So that you can leave the system running, and it will perform day end closing and shut down automatically.

The system is also smart enough to know that if u shut down the system without doing a day end closing, then next day when u start the system and create any transaction, then it first performs a day end closing and then starts your new transaction.

Also the system will not perform an automatic day end closing if you are logged in.

Performing a day end closing from the manager for all POS is not supported. Currently its only SAP Customer Checkout which can call the SAP Customer Checkout manager. They manager is not calling the SAP Customer Checkout.

yes, there is an automatic day end closing functionality.

Do you think a certain day end closing time would be helpful?
