We have concept of Plugins with which we support Credit Card Payments(Using Pepper Interface), or blue code payments, or Network International Integration(MENA region).

And the currency can be maintained along with their exchange rate in configuration. You can handle the real payment processing outside of SAP Customer Checkout or develop a plugIn to have a integrated solution.
