Outbound Failed on email. How to find what went wrong?

Hi,

on my test system, I'm getting "Outbound Failed" interactions on my test emails.

At first it was an "outbound check failed" interaction, and I know how to resolve those, that was a missing marketing permission.

But then the second try, it just just plain "outbound failed". No interaction status, no interaction reason.

The email addresses that the mails are send to, are on the whitelist (or inclusion list as it is called now).

There is no error on the campaign log, that one just shows a successfull campaign execution. But the Performance shows that all mails have failed, and on my contact profile I also see the Outbound Failed Interaction.

Clicking through on the interaction details also doesn't show any additional details.

The Marketing Application Log app also doesn't show anything.

Is there anything else that I can check? What could still be wrong, that I get an outbound failed?

It seems to be related to the "ignore marketing permission" flag only.

When using the flag, and contacts without a marketing permission are in the target group, then instead of ignoring the marketing permission, their mail sending fails...

Anyone else experiencing this?

"I opened an incident regarding that topic and got the reply that "the contact is enriched with marketing area, but since the EMAIL ID is not coming from the contact data but coming from the relationship, the permissions are not calculated correctly."

I think the "Ignore Marketing Permission" flag in the campaign might also be looking in the wrong place for the email address then...

Could you tell me what your ticket number was for that incident? Then I can provide that as extra info for SAP in my current ticket.

The above case was on a customer test tenant.

I just had the exact same situation on my partner demo system :s

In both cases, the campaign used the flag "ignore marketing permission". And the inclusion list is active on both systems, but all addressees are on the list though.

So I will tomorrow check with SAP Support about this, because it's really strange.
