Origins of Contact ID: Change MOBILE to Additional ID - effect on existing contacts?

Hi

We are wondering whether setting PHONE or MOBILE origin as an Additional ID will effect all already existing contacts (backwards so to say).

In other words:
Will all contacts retroactively be assessed for possible new Matches & Merges after we change the setting on how to handle phone numbers or mobile numbers?

Hi Emanuel,

changing the customizing does not affect any existing contacts.

The golden record will be recalculated with a new payload which affects the contact.
