Opportunity item: Restrict values for product categorie

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to restrict proposed values for the product category to the opportunity item level in SAP Sales Cloud. Due to the integration scenario with ERP we habe have quite a lot product categories in the system, but we'd like to reduce the number of proposed values on opportunity item level.

Anyone know of any way to do this? I checked already enhancement option "OpportunityExcludeCodeValues".

Hi,

I am not sure if I understood you correctly but you trying is to restrict the entries proposed by "Product Category's" value help while adding an item at the opportunity. If this is the case then you do it as follow:

1. Start the adaptation mode for Master Layout(In case if you want to be role specific then do this via page layout)

2. Open the "Product Categories" value help in opportunity-->item tab and define the filter criteria from advance filter or funnel icon.

3. Save the new filter query and mark it as DEFAULT. if needed,Disable the standard "DefaultSet" query using an organize query.
