Onprem version 2021 release

Hi,

In the onprem release strategy document, 2020 is listed as the latest version, which was released in Q4 2020:

Is there any information about when version 2021 will be released? If there are yearly releases it should be quite soon, no? It's not mentioned in the PAM either.

PS, is there still feature parity? Will Onprem 2021 version be equal in features to the current cloud 2108 version?

Hi Joyca,

The SAP Marketing 2020 release is the most current release. Beyond this release, there is currently no plan to release another version of SAP Marketing On-Premise. Also currently there is no roadmap beyond the release SAP Marketing 2020 for on premise.

Oh, that's sad to hear. If there isn't a roadmap, is there at least some indication about the frequency that onprem would still get upgrades? Or is it simply "never" anymore?

SAP Marketing 2020 is released for S/4 Hana Foundation 2020 only. We currently write in Release Information Note (RIN) https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1885803 :

SAP Marketing 2020 is an Add-On for SAP S/4HANA Foundation 2020 (SAP S/4HANA FOUNDATION 2020).

SAP Maintenance Planner allows to upgrade the underlying S/4 HANA Foundation Release to S/4 HANA 2021.

Is there an official SAP Note that clearly states, that this should NOT be done?

Hi Joyca,

At the moment, there is no support packs planned as of now. The 2020 release is in support mode. Notes are delivered as required to fix issues.
