Offer Redemption interaction without identification

Hi,

In the following scenario:

Offer with Coupon with unique coupon codes.

An e-mail is sent to multiple contacts, who each receive their personal, unique coupon code.

I would then expect, if there's an Offer Redemption interaction, with as only information that unique coupon code, that the system would be able to deduct the customer to whom that coupon code belonged and assign the interaction correctly.

However, it seems I mandatory need InteractionContactOrigin and InteractionContactId ...

Am I overlooking something, or is it indeed not possible to deduct the contact to whom a coupon code belonged on an Offer Redemption interaction without literally specifying it?
