Not correct segmentation results - subcriber

Hello,

I noticed that in my segmentation not all contacts were filtered correctly. I would like to use my segmentation to find out how many subscribers I have for the respective newsletters in September.

The target group (Newsletter A) now includes contacts who have a subscription to Newsletter A, but the interaction date of Newsletter B is in September. And not that of Newsletter A.

But I only want the number of newsletter subscribers for A in the period from September.

I filter as follows:

All Contacts ---> Interaction Typ = Newsletter Subscription ---> Subscription = A ---> Interaction Date = between 1th September and 30th September

Did someone already have the problem and has a solution ready, why do I get such contacts?

Best regards,

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

check this KBA: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2644508

I'm not 100% sure but I think this problem occurs because of the usage of different Data Sources.

As described in the KBA it might be that the system considers your segmentation like "give me all contacts which have any interaction of type "Newsletter Subscription" and any interaction within the date 11.09. - 30.09.2020”. The 'and' is applied on contact level only but not on interactions level.

So I think you should check the Segmentation Configuration settings or for your use case you should try to use the "All Interactions" Profile.

Hope that helps.

Hey Tobias,

thank you. I'll check my data sources.

With the "All Interactions" profile I see the difficulty that you filter all interactions, which means that contacts are listed twice, because they might have registered twice by mistake. Then it would again not come to a correct result.

Best regard,

Lisa

Hi lwe,

that's true.

Depending on the scenario you need the data for, you could maybe do an Export of the data and then delete the duplicates in Excel. If you only want to know how many subscribers you have.

Hey Tobias,

I have now checked the data source of the segmentation again and all used attributes are in the same data source (_SAP_CF_CE_CONTACT_IA_ERP_CUST). But the faulty contacts are still in the segmentation. 😕

Do you have any other ideas why the contacts are not correct?
