No BOM Explosion In Production Order for VC material
Scenario is:
1. There is one Configurable Material(KMAT) 'ABC'
2. Which is assigned to the Material Variant(FERT)'XYZ', so 'ABC' has been assigned to 'XYZ'.
3. The material variant(XYZ) having Multiple levels of BOM's Which are phantoms material.
4. One of phantom BOM has been added a New component from validity date 4th Dec, and in same phantom BOM one of material are deleted with a validity end date is 04th Dec.
5. And both materials having the same selection dependency as per the char. values in material variant(XYZ)
6. When I checked in CS11(BOM explode) with material variant (XYZ) from the date 4th Dec, the new BOM components of phantom material are showing.
7. Same if I checked with an old date before 4th Dec in CS11, I can not see the old component.
Request clarification before answering.
kiran.dandile86,
As XYZ is a material variant it is using its parent BOM (ABC). When you made changes in BOM of ABC added and deleted components with effectivity date, does after that you updated the material variant using report “RCUUPDMATVAR” by running SE38 or transaction: CUUPDMV.

Please try that and check if it helps you.

Now my understanding is your old component is deleted without using a change number so it got deleted permanently, with any date now it will now be shown in CS11.
Also , if replies help you , you can upvote those.

kiran.dandile86,
we generally used this report when we made configuration changes to base configurable material and which may result in inconsistences for material variant.
What it sounds with your issue is more related to effectivity date and phantom explosion.
Could you please check in below mention step when old component is not available does the new component showing ?
7. Same if I checked with an old date before 4th Dec in CS11, I can not see the old component. Thanks

Sorry, that I have missed one thing to tell you, which is before 11/24/2020, the situation is like the old component was showing in CS11, and that time if suppose I have checked for the new component after the date 11/24/2020 in CS11, so the new component was not shown,
now the situation is the opposite, the date has been passed, and today if I look with backdated(Before 11/24/2020), the old component has gone from cs11, and the new component is showing only with the current date.

Hi Ritesh ,
