Hello SAP,

I am creating a task creation campaign in sap marketing cloud. Under Task Creation action , i have a field Category which has options Marketing and Preparation. I want to add few more categories into it. I couldnt find an option in configuration.

Is this a possibility to do? Can you please refer where should i make the change?

Hi everybody,

I just want to describe the overall situation for the field "Category" in the different campaign actions:

  • First of all, the campaign actions "Create Task", "Create Appointment", and "Create Phone Call" belong together -- they are all based on the same coding.
  • The list of possible categories in these actions was taken from the connected Cloud for Customer system. But this was done once during development, and these categories were inserted into a S-table in SAP Marketing Cloud which cannot be maintained by customers.
  • The iFlow "Activity Replication From SAP Marketing To C4C" maps all the categories of the three campaign actions referenced above. But each of these categories belongs to only a single of these three campaign actions -- the iFlow is responsible for all three actions.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

Best regards,
Ingo Fenske

Hi Mayank,

No, only 2 options are available now, what is your business use case on this?

If valid use-case, please submit a detailed idea of improvement to SAP Marketing Cloud so that your idea could be evaluated there.

Hi Kunal,

There is also no possibility to add the field in this area. I ave created a custom field and try to add the field using ADAPT UI but there was no option to add it. Do you know any other way?

Hi Mayank, hi rashmiranjan.behera

came across that topic again today and just wanted to let you know that I saw in the roadmap viewer that (if I understand it correctly) it is planned to make it possible to customize the categories.

Hi schneidert magarwal ,

If i am not wrong the values are taken from the value mapping delivered by SAP . There was a old integration guide i have seen where it was having all values that can be mapped at CPI . Yes but we can't add new values

Please mark answer as correct if it answers your question.

Hi Mayank,

as stated in the Application Help v1905 these categories are taken from the connected system.

But unfortunately there's no description of how that is done.

kunalkumar.bansal do I misunderstand the application guide?

On CPI I also checked the standard iFlow delivered by SAP for the Activity Replication From SAP Marketing To C4C and there are many more categories mapped to the ActivityGroupCode than the ones that are shown in SAP Marketing Cloud.

So for me it seems like we should also have the categories from C4C in SAP Marketing Cloud (as stated in the Application Guide).

Hope anyone can confirm or help me understand the guide.

mayaboleto maybe you could clarify?

Thanks schneidert : Even i have also verified this from my side and have the same understanding as yours. But it seems when we are trying to create a task in the system, the category is not getting fetched from C4C? Marketing has the static category values. BR Mayank
